Food Grade Lubricants

LE’s food grade oils and greases play a key part in reducing maintenance and operating costs for food and beverage facilities. Our high-performance H1 and H2 products include solutions for heat, cold, moisture, rust and oxidation (R & O), and wear. LE has a food machinery lubricant solution for the majority of applications and operating conditions.

Lubricants that are NSF H1 certified have been cleared for use in USDA-inspected food processing plants and can be used where incidental food contact may occur. All LE H1 lubricants - except for H1 Machine Oil - are also certified Kosher Pareve by the Orthodox Union. H2 lubricants meet USDA H2 criteria for non-food contact areas of food processing plants.

H1 grease, H1 oils and H2 lubricants: Performance under pressure LE’s selection of H1 and H2 food machinery lubricants provides superior performance under a range of conditions. Depending on the particular food grade oil or food grade grease, benefits and features vary.

H1 Grease

LE’s H1 grease provides extreme pressure performance and resistance to water, heat, impact and mild acids and alkaline fluids. It is white, non-staining and environmentally safe.

H1 Oils

LE’s H1 oils exhibit superior anti-wear, rust and oxidation resistance, low-temperature performance, excellent EP characteristics, and load-carrying ability. They also feature a pleasant odour and are pure, translucent and non-staining.

H2 Lubricants

LE’s multipurpose H2 lubricants provide compatibility, wide temperature range, excellent water separation, and an ability to withstand heat without oxidizing. They reduce friction and wear, and provide corrosion resistance.

 

NSF H1 Food Grade Lubricants

           

  H1 Silicon Spray 804

  • Silicone-based spray for use as a lubricant with incidental food contact. May be used on machine parts and equipment in locations in which there is potential exposure of the lubricated part to food. For food plant and other industrial use.

                                

   H1 Quinplex® Food Grade Grease 4022-4023-4024-4025

  • Semi-Synthetic Grease Protects Against Moisture & Other Harsh Conditions at Food Manufacturing Plants
  • H1 Quinplex® Food Machinery Lubricant (4025-4022) is a semi-synthetic grease suitable for a broad operating temperature range. In addition to being a food grade grease - NSF H1 registered for incidental food contact - it is also robust enough to withstand moisture, high temperatures, extreme pressures and other harsh conditions found at food manufacturing plants. It features an aluminum complex thickener base, providing extreme water resistance, excellent mechanical stability, reversibility and tackiness.
  • Key additives include Quinplex®, LE's proprietary impact-resistant additive, and a rust and oxidation inhibitor. Switching to H1 Quinplex® Food Machinery Lubricant results in longer bearing life, fewer equipment repairs, less downtime and lower lubricant consumption.

   H1 Quincal® Food Grade Grease 4072

  • Formulated for use in food processing applications, H1 Quincal™ Syn FG Grease features a synthetic base fluid, calcium sulfonate complex thickener, and Quinplex, LE's proprietary impact-resistant additive. This premium combination imparts a very high dropping point, exceptional inherent extreme pressure (EP) characteristics, superior mechanical stability, low oil bleed, tackiness and water resistance - everything you need to protect and extend the life of your equipment.

  H1 Quinplex® Penetrating Oil & Lubricant 4058

  • Outstanding food grade, penetrating oil and lubricant. Works quickly to dissolve rust and free-up frozen parts. Rapidly penetrates and leaves a heavy lubricant film for further lubrication and corrosion prevention. Formulated from USP Grade mineral oils and other USDA H1 rated components. Contains LE's proprietary additive, QUINPLEX®.

  H1 Overnworx™ Syn Chain Lubricant 4061

  • Superior Heat Resistance Keeps Oven Chain Operating Freely

  • Ovenworx™ H1 Syn Chain Lubricant (4061) was formulated specifically to combat the demanding conditions present with oven chain applications. In addition, it is approved for incidental food contact and contains no artificial dyes, making it a good choice for food manufacturing plants.

  • Oven chain efficiency is dependent upon a lubricant that can keep the chain operating freely and smoothly, fighting the ever present heat and moisture that can cause corrosion and eventually lead to premature failure of oven chain pins and bushings. Only the most robust lubricant formulations can perform in this application; it is not an area to cut corners. If the oven chain fails, output comes to a screeching halt.

  • In addition to this high level of protection, equipment runs more cleanly and efficiently with Ovenworx™ 4061, which lubricates without the need of solids. Lubricants with solids have to be stirred to keep the solids distributed within the carrier and prevent them from falling out of the suspension. Solids also can create housekeeping issues by building up over time, creating gum and gunk around the application area, especially when over-applied.

  H1 Quinplex® White Oil 4010 to 4059 (4 Grades)

  H1 Quinplex® Synthetic Food Grade Oil 4032 & 4046 (2 Grades)

  • Food Grade Lubricant Clings to Equipment, Providing Reliable Water-Resistant Protection from Oxidation, Rust & Wear

  • H1 Quinplex Synthetic Food Grade Oils (4032 and 4046, ISO 32 and 46, respectively) are NSF H1 registered, Kosher Pareve certified lubricants designed to use in food processing and other sensitive environments where superior antiwear, rust- and oxidation-resistant properties are required. Featuring 100% synthetic base oil, H1 Quinplex 4032 and 4046 have excellent load carrying abilities, can be used in low-temperature applications, and contain Quinplex(r), LE’s proprietary impact-resistant additive.

  H1 Quinplex® White Gear Lubricant 4090 to 4250 (3 Grades)

  • Protects Gearboxes in Food Production Applications

  • Recommended for a variety of gearboxes and other critical applications in food and beverage manufacturing facilities,H1 Quinplex® White Gear Lubricant (4090-4250) is NSF H1 registered for incidental food contact and was formulated to withstand severe loading conditions and prevent rust and corrosion. H1 Quinplex® White Gear Lubricant contains a carefully selected blend of pure mineral and synthetic base stocks to provide superior protection at a wide range of operating temperatures. It also offers antiwear protection, differentiating it from many other white oils on the market. To ensure good metal adhesion, it contains a shear stable polymeric tackifier system including Quinplex®, LE・s proprietary impact-resistant additive.

  • H1 Quinplex® White Gear Lubricant helps factories avoid unplanned downtime and expensive repairs by providing long-lasting, reliable protection that keeps critical equipment running.

  H1 White Utility Oil 4201 to 4204 (2 Grades)

  • Food and USP Grade White mineral oil containing no additives. Authorized for use under USDA inspection and Grading Programs. Rated H1 by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

  • Available in 5ltr, 20ltr, 208ltr drums.

  H1 Quinplex® Synthetic Food Grade Gear Oil 4150 to 4460 (4 Grades)

  • Recommended for a variety of gearboxes and other critical applications in food and beverage manufacturing facilities, H1 Quinplex® Syn FG Gear Oil (4150-4460) is NSF H1 registered for incidental food contact and was formulated to withstand severe loading conditions and prevent rust and corrosion.

  • H1 Quinplex Syn FG Gear Oil contains 100 percent synthetic base stock to provide superior protection in extreme high and low temperatures. It also offers great seal compatibility and excellent nonfoaming qualities.

  • Its anti-wear capability differentiates it from many other white oils on the market. To ensure good metal adhesion, it contains a shear stable polymeric tackifier system including Quinplex®, LE’s proprietary impact-resistant additive. H1 Quinplex Syn FG Gear Oil helps factories avoid unplanned downtime and expensive repairs by providing longlasting, reliable protection that keeps critical equipment running in extreme temperatures.
