High Temperature
Lubrication Engineers have experience in many high temperature applications, from brickwork kiln car bearings using LE1250 non-melt grease to the use of high temperature oils for oven chain lubrication.
The important aspect of high temperature lubrication is to determine if the temperature is caused by environment or operating conditions, for example recently Lubrication Engineers provided a high temperature grease for a bearing running at above 250C. Once the grease was applied the bearing temperature reduced to below 120C as the correct base oil viscosity with our superior additives were able to reduce the friction and heat being developed in this application. In an application where the environment is the contributor such as asphalt plant mixer bearings, the asphalt from the kiln is mixed at temperatures above 250C, this application therefore requires a non-melting grease.
Examples of Lubrication Engineers high temperature lubricants are:
- LE1250/51 Almasol High Temperature Lubricant (NLGI#2 non-melt grease)
- LE1274/5 Almaplex Industrial Lubricant (NLGI#1&2 Aluminium Complex grease)
- LE1299 Ultra-Syn Lubricant (NLGI#2 Aluminium Complex grease with Synthetic base oil)
- LE4622 Multiplex Lubricant (Lithium Complex NLGI#2 with Monolec)
- LE5180/82 Pyroshield (Synthetic non-melt grease for open gears)
- LE9102 Synthetic Lubricant (aerosol high temperature spray grease)
- LE9901 Syntemp (Synthetic non-melt grease for open gears and slow moving bearings)
- LE2700/2799 High Temperature chain lubricants
- LE9200 Aerosol Dry Film lubricant
- LE9705/07 SynPag Lubricants (PAG synthetic fluids)
- LE9822/32/46 Synolec Gear Lubricants
- LE9922/63 Synolec Gear Lubricants
