Low Temperature
Low Temperature Lubrication
The lubrication of equipment in low temperature environments is a complex task that require Specialty products which are specifically engineered for the environment. Often equipment operating under extremes of low temperature are also subjected to changes of temperature, an example is forklifts used in blast freezer applications which then drive out into ambient conditions. The hydraulic systems and transmissions on this equipment must function under both of these conditions without detriment to the machinery.
Lubrication Engineers provide many products which are designed for extremes of temperature. Products such as multi-viscosity hydraulic oils which can function down to -45c and up to +70C, Aluminium complex greases which will pump through automatic lubrication systems at low temperature but still lubricate bearings at over 200C.
Lubrication Engineers recommend consulting with our trained Lubrication technicians to provide advice on your specific application.
